Meet the eligibility criteria: You must have a four-year degree (bachelor's or the global equivalent) and 3 years of project management experience (minimum 4,500 hours leading and directing projects), or a secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) and 5 years of project management experience (minimum 7,500 hours leading and directing projects).
Sign up for a PMP Exam Preparation Course: You can enroll in a PMP course online like the one provided by Edureka or in person to prepare for the exam.
Submit your PMP application: Once you've completed the exam preparation course, you'll need to submit your PMP application on the Project Management Institute (PMI) website.
Schedule your exam: Once your application has been approved, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your exam. You can take the exam at a Prometric testing center or online.
Study for the exam: Study the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) and practice with exam simulation tools.
Take the exam: On the day of the exam, arrive early and bring two forms of identification. The exam is 200 multiple-choice questions and you'll have four hours to complete it.
Receive your results: You'll receive your results immediately after completing the PMP exam if you take the computer-based test at a Prometric testing center. If you take the exam online, you'll receive your results within a few days.
Maintain your certification: To maintain your PMP certification, you must earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three years, which involves participating in professional development activities such as attending seminars or workshops, presenting papers, or teaching others about project management.

Visit the PMI website to become a member by following the indicated steps.
